Beautiful City in Croatia

Rovinj is a picturesque town on the Istrian peninsula. Despite the small size of the town, Rovinj has long been identified as a giant tourist spot. Rovinj's kitchen depends directly on the historical and geographical factors. On the one hand there are traditional Croatian recipes, on the other hand, a lot of dishes are borrowed from Italian cuisine. So the most popular dishes that appear on the menu of almost all restaurants are pasta with meat and sauce, risotto with seafood. All long meal usually accompanied with a glass of local wine is wonderful, which is also characteristic of the neighboring Italy.

Monte - is situated on a spacious and beautiful terrace in Istrian style. Istrian specialties on the menu, such as prosciutto, homemade pasta, truffles, wine. The staff of Monte is very polite and the service is at a high level.

Wine Cellar or Vault - is the best place for wine connoisseurs. This is an exclusive restaurant with a large selection of wines in Croatia, as well as with excellent French and Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is open every day from 15.00 to 23.00.

Ancora - considered one of the most picturesque places in the old part of town. The restaurant is located on the outdoor terrace is literally on the water and has existed for over 20 years. Dishes are mainly marine subjects, however, for fans of pasta and pizza there are also great choices. It has an extensive wine list and a good selection of sweets. It has rooted traditions of cooking and hospitality.

Maslina - situated in Centener and is famous for its cheap but very tasty cuisine. The menu consists of delicious Italian, continental, Croatian and coastal cuisine. Maslina restaurant "olive tree" is open all year round, indicating her success, even among the local residents.

Lanterna - restaurant with true-fishing traditions. The restaurant is located in a palace from the 19th century and keeps a long tradition of Istrian fishermen and peasants, combining flexibility with a modern kitchen.

Konoba Tugurio - a restaurant known for its delicacies of Istrian and Mediterranean cuisine, as well as the pleasant atmosphere and the presence of live music.  The interior of the Konoba Tugurio is decorated with Croation style.

In Rovinj, you can eat at a local pizzeria and Croatian Kanobu in budget. Because seafood is not a cheap pleasure, better their taste in fish restaurants of the Fjords, the so-called breeding farms.

Food in Rovinj is very similar to Italian, in every restaurant menu, you are sure to find a pizza or ham. In addition to tasty pizzas and pasta, the menu has a large selection of dishes from seafood. Traditional dishes include pork or lamb on a spit. The restaurants of Rovinj attracts a lot of visitors due to the long tradition of quality and service.
